This video explains the procedure to edit the point cloud color of the area masked in the corresponding image automatically by inpainting. This is effective for, e.g., removing the unwanted moving objects captured in laser scanning such as human figures.

💡 TIPS

This command requires an image editor application to mask the object to remove, and overwrite the image file.

Windows Photos app is no longer linked to Paint 3D. Set Paint 3D as the default application for PNG files in advance from [Windows Start Menu] > [Settings] > [Apps] > [Default apps] if you wish to.
